Description

This 1,775-acre [Maine Coast Heritage Trust](http://www.mcht.org/) preserve is open for low-impact day use and features a 5.5-mile trail network, an 11-acre pond and over 80-acres of commercial wild blueberry barrens. A fairly protected landing option at the [Bog Brook Cove Preserve](https://mcht.org/preserves/bog-brook-cove), depending on conditions, is located at the gravel beaches rimming the northeastern corner of the preserve by the entrance to Moose Cove. From here, a short path leads north to a 0.2 mile universally-accessible trail ending in a parking area on Moose River Road.

Hand carry launching is possible at [Bog Brook Cove Preserve](https://mcht.org/preserves/bog-brook-cove) from the parking area on Moose River Road but it requires a 0.2-mile portage. Overnight parking is not permitted.
