Stewardship

We believe the places we share deserve care: from the water we cross to the islands we visit and the communities that welcome us. Stewardship is how we put that belief into practice.

Place & environment

We aim to minimize harm and leave harbors, shorelines, and anchorages better than we found them. That means respecting wildlife, sensitive habitats, and local regulations—and choosing routes and practices that reduce unnecessary impact.

Community & access

Coastal communities depend on trust, clear communication, and fair use of shared resources. We value transparency, listening to people who live and work on the water, and building tools that support responsible access for everyone.

Safety & responsibility

Good judgment on the water protects people and places. We encourage preparation, accurate information, and humility when conditions or local knowledge say to stay ashore or change plans.

These values guide how we build and operate Mita. They are not legal advice, and they do not replace local rules, charts, or your own judgment—use them alongside those resources.
