Description
Located on the northwestern end of Gay Island, Maine Island Lodge offers six camping platforms available between mid-May and mid-October by reservation only. Campers have access to a latrine. Suggested donation for camping is $20 per person per night.
An off-the-grid lodge is located on the property and is utilized by Maine Sport Outfitter's Programs Department. Please be respectful if there is an event going on at the time of your stay. A path through the woods connects to two but otherwise they are separate entities.
Manually propelled craft should land on the northwest-facing beach (in between the lodge and tent platforms) that leads to flat ground for boat storage and access to the campsites. **Please note that boats need to be walked up to the higher flat ground as the beach is covered at high tide.**
