Description
This tiny, oblong, steep-sided islet is located just northwest of Indian Point, on the northeast tip of Sebascodegan Island. It is mostly rock, with a few low shrubs and little flat ground. A nice shell beach on the west side is exposed at lower tides.
Indian Point Island is a good spot to stretch your legs and have lunch if you are circumnavigating Sebascodegan. Note that there are strong tidal currents between Sebascodegan and the mainland, particularly at Gurnet Strait. Boaters should take note that there is an unmarked rock just off the northwest tip of the island.
