Description
This beautiful campsite is located on the northeast-pointing wedge of land just below the deep, angular cove on the eastern shore of Long Island. There are a number of cottages lining the shore of Long Island, and visitor access is limited to this approved camping spot.
The New Meadows River is a wonderful place to explore, particularly when it is blowing on the outer coast. The main channel of the river sees regular boating traffic, so remember to exercise caution as you cross the channel. There are many nearby coves and protected areas to visit.
The owners have a cabin on the property, and note that when they are in residence you may be greeted by large but friendly dogs, after a proper introduction. A few dog biscuits are always appreciated.
