Description
Little Snow, also known as Mouse Island, is is a popular destination for all types of boaters due to the surrounding protected waters and nearby shoreside amenities. Cruising boats often anchor in Quahog Bay, which is conveniently sheltered from winds in all directions, and paddlers enjoy relatively serene waters and gorgeous coastline worthy of extended exploration.
Little Snow has three heavily used camping areas connected by informal paths. The middle and southern campsites have established fire rings that should not be dismantled.

Anchorage
North of Little Snow and south of Snow Island. The bottom is mud and has excellent holding. The anchorage is well protected. Expect crowds on the weekend but there is room for many vessels.

Guidelines
Up to 2 registered campers. Three campsites available. Camping capacity - North site, 2 people; Center site, 4 people; South site, 4 people.
Fires allowed only with state permit, call 207-624-3700 for permit information. Designated fire rings at south and middle campsites.
Pets allowed under strict owner control; leash pets or leave them at home to protect visitors and wildlife. Pack out all solid pet waste.
Osprey may be in residence; please do not visit the island until July 1.
