Description

Also known as Thrumcap, this tiny islet off the southern tip of Marsh Island has a fine view and makes for a nice early day stop after rounding Pemaquid Point. There is room for one small tent between the spruce trees, though this space is often colonized by tender grasses and forbs. The best camping option might be the flat ledges that sit high above the tide line, which afford spectacular views of Muscongus Bay. Ocean swells can sometimes make access difficult. A small cove on the northwest end is often the best option for landing.
