Description
Also known as Little Davis, this tiny island is nestled just north of Davis Strait and adjacent to Thompson Island in Eastern Muscongus Bay. It affords a stopping place for travelers exploring the islands and waters south of Port Clyde. Please note that the larger nearby islands including Thompson and Davis are private and do not have public access.
From mid to low tide, this small island can be accessed via the northeastern sand bar that connects Little Griffin Island to Griffin Ledge. The southern side of the bar provides a sandier landing. From the sandbar, follow a short trail toward the southwest to a small campsite under the trees in the center of the island.
[Hurricane Island Outward Bound](https://www.outwardbound.org/) owns this island and uses it occasionally for programming. If you observe a HIOBS group or a student on solo, please do not land.
