Description

Located just west of Naskeag Point, Little Hog is very small and well-protected, with room for just two small tents. The south side of Little Hog dries out into a mudflat at low tide. The best deep water approach is from the northwest.

Camping is allowed at the west end of the island near a cluster of trees. A small sign and logbook container marks the spot.

Limited anchorage available to the north within Naskeag Harbor. The bottom provides good holding.

Fires allowed only with state permit, call 207-827-1800 for permit information.

Pets allowed under strict owner control; leash pets or leave them at home to protect visitors and wildlife. Pack out all solid pet waste.
