Description

Goat Island Light was established in 1833 to guide fishermen home safely through the treacherous shoal waters of Cape Porpoise. The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust has protected the island and restored the historic structures. Caretakers live on the island during the summer months. Open for day use only, no fires.

There is abundant anchorage available within Cape Porpoise Harbor. Larger boats use caution as this is a narrow, busy harbor.
